Getting Started


When you first join Simcoe Health and Fitness Centre we book you in for an Initial Fitness Assessment.

During the assessment an instructor will go through some exercises to see what level you are starting at, and talk with you about your goals and your workout plans. From the assessment, they will set up a program suggesting what levels you work at on the cardio machines and how much weight you lift on the weight machines. We can also suggest what group exercise might be right for you.   

On your second visit to the Fitness Centre we will take you through your program and show you how to set all of the cardio machines, and make sure that you know how to use the weights properly. We will update your program regularly as your fitness level increases, and we try to do a re-assessment every 6 weeks.
